1988 Chevrolet Suburban

Description: Too many projects and not enough time.I have 3 of these and need to move one, so this is it.Was a California vehicle until 2022 I believe, when it came east. Told it was stored in CA for roughly 10 years before. The good:Very original, unmolested vehicle with many receipts.Replacement GM 350/5.7 engine and tranny in 2002.Earl Scheib repaint in 2009.No rust, no Bondo in the body, under carriage is very clean.Previous owner rebuilt the front axle, replaced u-joints and ball joints and redid the brakes all around.Upgraded AC to R134, new belts and hoses.New in 2022, 5 new 17x8 Pro Comp wheels and 285/65-17 Tires. 75% tread left.Rear Airlift bags with on-board compressor that doesn't leak.Classic Autosound AM/FM/Mp3 radio with new speakers.Rear DVD player with remote.New headliner.In my ownership I replaced the Steering box with a Redhead unit.New draglink, damper and tie rods.Installed new 5 leaf rear springs.Purchased the pieces from LMC to rebuild the steering column, and new 7 pin trailer plug, all go with the truck,you install. 7 pin and brake controller work, just the 7 pin housing is broken.Well maintained over the years, including mine. No leaks and all fluids are as they should be. The bad:While everything except the cruise control works, the power windows and wipers are slow.Crack in windshield, had it sealed and passes PA inspection.Needs a new radiator overflow bottle. Available from LMC. I bought this and used it to tow our 2 ATV's to the local trails, but have since purchased another, A 4-speed I prefer, hence the need to sell this one. It's been my reliable daily driver since I purchased it last year, about 30 to 90 miles a week.While I use these trucks as daily drivers, (I'd drive this anywhere), I consider them as hobbies.Drive it, maintain it, fix it if something breaks and improve something as time and money allow.I love these old square bodies, I just can't have 3.
