They were basically regular proof sets with the inclusion of any Commemorative coins that were released that year set in fancy packaging. In this 1988 set it includes all the regular proof coins from 1988, and then also includes the 1988 Summer Olympics Commemorative 90% Silver Dollar -- 6 proof coins in all! This set comes housed in the original government packaging, which is a very nice thick felt case made to look like a book, the outer box, and certificates of authenticity.The coins in this set are in amazing shape. They all have that gorgeous mirror image and frosty deep cameo reliefs you expect from high quality proof coins. The Dollar does have some ghost toning which is very common for silver proof coins from this era. The others have no major toning or major blemishes at all.This set is a very nice way to get the Olympics Commemorative Dollar AND a 1988 proof set all in one shot! Thanks!
