1993 STAR MISS USA and MISS TEEN USA [KELLY HU] [SHANNA MOAKLER]

Description: This is the 1993 Star International base set, featuring contestants in the most recent Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions. You may recognize models who also appeared in the Star International Hooters base sets. Future television actress Kelly Hu (Miss USA Hawaii), of the television soap opera Sunset Beach, and several feature films, appears in the set, along with Shanna Moakler (Miss Teen USA Rhode Island). Moakler regularly appeared as 'Monica Harper' in the final two (02) seasons of the USA Network cable series Pacific Blue, and subsequently posed for Playboy as Miss December 2001. One aspect of this set a little odd. There were 100 cards printed, but the intent apparently had been for there to have actually been 101, since there are 51 contestants in the Miss USA contest (including District of Columbia), and only 50 in Miss Teen USA contest (does not include District of Columbia). But for reasons remaining unclear, the designated first card of the set -- Toni Johnson, Miss USA Alabama -- never got printed. In any case, there are three (03) complete copies of this set available here. Buyers may choose to buy a single copy, or more than one at a discount.
