Description: 1994 FIFA World Cup Winner's Participation Gold Medal to Brazil Winning Team Member. The United States hosted the World Cup for the first time in history. The tournament took place over various locations throughout the U.S. from June 17 - July 17, 1994. Brazil and Italy played to a 0-0 time over extra time. It was the first time the World Cup was decided by penalty kicks and Brazil would prevail defeating Italy. This would be a record 4th World Cup by Brazil and they would go on to win their 5th World Cup in 2002. The medal has a diameter of 2" and weighs approximately 2.3 ounces. One side of the medal shows a high relief etching of the World Cup Trophy. On the reverse is a high relief etching "FIFA WORLD CUP USA 1994". A actual winner's medal from 1994 with corresponding ribbon will sale for approximately $50,000. The weight of those winner's medal is 2.8 ounces including the ribbon so the weights are nearly identical.
