Description: 19th CENTURY JAPANESE IMARI PORCELAIN RIBBED & SCALLOPED PLATE You are being offered a 19th Century Japanese Imari Porcelain Ribbed and Scalloped Plate decorated with a Hand Painted Floral Design executed in Underglaze Blue Cobalt Oxide Pigment and Overglaze Red, Green and Aubergine Enamels on a White Porcelain Ground. The Plate isn’t signed and it doesn’t have any identifying marks; but we believe it was made during the Meiji Period between 1868 and 1899. The Plate measures 8½ inches in diameter and its Rim is 1 inch high when it is resting on a flat, level surface. There is Enamel loss on some of the Ribs due to rubbing; otherwise, the Plate is in Very Good Condition for its age, without any chips, cracks or scratches.
