Description: Antique thermoplastic photo case in 1/9th scale. Some people call this Gutta Percha. Totally beautiful design of grape leaves, grapes, Plums, Cherries and a flower. Noted as 2-105, page 163, Mixed Fruit and Flowers from the Paul K. Berg book, Nineteenth Century Photographic Cases and Wall Frames, 2003. Made by Littlefield, Parsons & Co., patented October 15, 1856, and April 21, 1857. Measures 2.5" x 3" x 3/4". Please see photos as there are small cracks by hinge and clasp, case does not snap closed and is warped, how that happened I couldn't fathom. Still a very nice display case and a nice brass frame.
