1st edition 1st printing American Gods by Neil Gaiman!! Please Read! Issues

Description: Here is a wonderful title of the novel that placed Neil Gaiman firmly on the literary map. This is American Gods and is a first edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by William Morrow in 2001. This copy is complete as is the dust jacket. This copy has been exposed to water and more than just a spill. The navy blue boards are extremely clean as is the black spine. The gold gilt lettering on the spine is bright and beautiful as shown. Now the issues. The lower front board has an indentation to the very edge. The spine ends have “rounding” and wear. Every page from the front free endpaper to the rear free is endpaper has waviness from minor to moderate towards the bottom of the pages. The top half are fine. And there is no odor or staining so this damage must have occurred long ago. As stated the jacket is complete and has the original price present on the front flap as shown. There is much lighter wear and/or damage to the jacket than to the book itself. There is light wear to the spine ends and more pronounced wear at one of the four corners. All mentioned issues are easily seen in the posted images. I usually don’t list titles in “good only” condition but this title established Gaiman as an author of unbelievable talent and is a true first edition first printing.
