Description: The Cedar Rapids Kernels held an Alumni Baseball Card Set Day on May 30, 2011. The first 1,000 fans through the gates received one of these 15-card sets, sponsored by the DAV. Mike Trout had just played for the Kernels one year prior, and was also part of their 2010 DAV Card Set as well. Long story short, this is one of Trout's most limited rookie-era cards. Only 1,000 were printed, and who knows how many were mishandled at the ballpark or handed out to non-collectors... The complete set offered here is in NRMT-MT condition with nice corners. The colored borders are very tricky with this issue, but this particular set for sale is one of the better ones I've seen over the years. If Mint or Gem Mint examples exist, they'd obviously be much more expensive than my asking price.
