I remember moving to Phoenix, AZ, back in 1986 when I was 9 years old and going to the games at the old Arizona State fairgrounds saddle shaped arena. Back when they had Alvin Davis, Walter Davis and the very next year, getting KJ in the trade for Larry Nance and then later the Suns signing the NBA's first unrestricted free agent, Tom Chambers. Later we got Barkley and went to the 1993 NBA Finals and through it all was the voice of the Suns. I think Al McCoy was the greatest announcer in NBA history and I think the Suns have the greatest mascot as well - the Gorilla. Anyhow, I put Al McCoy up there with the likes Vin Scully of the Dodgers and Keith Jackson for college football - all had no equals, just like Al McCoy. He will be missed dearly. I loved how he would say "shazaam" after a 3 point shot went down; the guy was truly legendary. Shipping via First Class Mail with tracking for $4.
