Description: 1957 chevy engine. Engine has been in storage for decades. If i were to guess, i would say this engine has about 20,000 miles total. Standard bore, no ridge, looks to have factory installed pistons, no sludge, has WCFB, corvette rocker covers, original water pump from 1957, has original distributor with oiler tube with threaded vacuum line. No window distributor cap, Engine turns easily. Power pak heads, has tri five bellhousing, no side mounts, i have original pulleys, harmonic dampener looks to never have been replaced, has 57 car exhaust manifilds and road draft tube. Intake manifold does not look to be original. WCFB is not complete. Engine looks like someone was going to put it in an early corvette and died, or his wife found out he was spending money in all the wrong places I had to take it apart to get pics of the bores and pic of a piston to ensure it was std bore, my evaluation is I am the first person to remove the heads since new. With how good the bores look, i would believe the crank and bearings are perfect as well. It just needs cleaning, painting, reassembly, and would enhance any late 56, 57 restoration. I also have another 57 283, bored .060, 2 barrel heads and 57 2 barrel intake with rochester 2 barrel carb.
