30's Art Deco Hawaiiana in Miami Beach Seafoam Purples Barkcloth Vintage Fabric

Description: Long before I ever knew much about Hawaii...I was learning about its aesthetic through my decades sifting through historic ruins of Miami Beach...it was striking to me how the Hawaiiana culture of floral and tiki were so popular in Miami in the 30's 40's and 50's...hotels and motels with Hawaiian tiki themes...mermaid shows and the infamous Mai Kai restaurant and lounge that would transport you back to primitive Hawaii. But there was a stretch of oceanfront land between North Miami Beach and Surfside on A!A Northbound where there were these little havens of cottage resorts...dirt and gravel roads led from AIA to the ocean about 200 feet...they were abandoned when I happened on them in the late 80's and 90's...but the original hula girl sign and Hawaiian kitsch was weathered...but still kicking. It is these iconic cotton prints unbelievably that have lasted longer than concrete and wood structures held together with steel nails. THAT is testament to vintage barkcloth and textiles alike. This offering is for ONE YARD x 48 inches wide of unused and unwashed pure unadulterated textured 30's barkcloth fabric...I have TEN YARDS available being sold by the yard...buy as many as you need and it will come in continuous yardage.
