They are the most difficult soldiers to paint, but they are GORGEOUS!!! They have been precoated with a paint bonder(the paint would flake off if not for this important application), then meticulously hand painted(there MAY be some VERY minor paint loss). I even painted their hair different colors(black, blond, brown!). I have over 3000 hand painted soldiers, cannons, cavalry, fencing, camp scenes, field hospital scenes, wagons, and other scenery items. I was a Civil War reenactor and have always loved dioramas. I set up the Battle of Antietam at my sons elementary school...it measured 16 feet by 24 feet! As soon as I retired a decade ago, I started buying back my childhood!!!
