This is a Hungarian memorial medal issued in 1898 to commemorate 50th anniversary of the 1848 revolution against the Hapsburgs.Issued as a medal to be worn some one in the past has removed the loop and made it a pocket piece instead for good luck probably because the slogan "Istenest Kiralkert Hazaert" means "God willing, he came home."Interesting piece of history and a great addition to any collection of exonumia or for history buffs.
