Description: Up for consideration is a set of eight handpainted floral plates dating to the late 19th Century (see last photo). The plates measure about 6 7/8" in diameter. They were made by the Helena Wolfsohn company in Dresden, Germany. The plates are marked with the Helena hallmark as well as with the words "Palais Royal Habana". The Palais Royal was a high-end department store in Havana Cuba that catered to the wealthy. The plates are in remarkable condition with no wear to the finish. Truly stunning.
