Description: "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway. Copyright 1932. Published by the Modern Library. Flexicover. Introduction by Ford Maddox Ford. RARE DUSTJACKET! Dustjacket has been covered in an archival protective BrodArt covering. "A Farewell to Arms is the unforgettable story of an American ambulance driver on the Italian front and his passion for a beautiful English nurse. Set against the looming horrors of the battlefield - the weary, demoralized men marching in the rain during the German attack on Caporetto; the profound struggle between loyalty and desertion—this gripping, semiautobiographical work captures the harsh realities of war and the pain of lovers caught in its inexorable sweep." Dustjacket is in Good condition. DJ has been put in an archival protective covering. Has wear. Missing parts of the DJ at the top/bottom of spine and by the front lower corner. Where front DJ & front flap meet, there is a split for most of the way (attached by about 2" for DJ). Spine has browned. Another split where the back DJ meets the back DJ flap (about 2" split).
