Description: A pretty Shelley "Cairo" 11209 Mocha shape coffee can & saucer. C.1921. Pattern No 11209 Cairo: Mauve, lilac, black and green stylised floral decoration on a white ground. Black edges and handle. Entered into pattern book during or after 1921. The shape of this cup and saucer is the Mocha coffee can which was produced between 1913 & 1962. The back stamp is the 1913-1925 green cartouche mark. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 47mm (1.8 inches) / diameter across top of cup 47mm (1.8 inches) / height of cup 51mm (2 inches) / diameter of saucer 112mm (4.3 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Paintwork is in good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
