Description: A Shelley "Regency" 785 Footed Dainty shape tea cup & saucer. C.1940+. Pattern is known as Regency 785 and was made for the American market. White ground. Gold trims and cup handle. The back stamp is the 1940-1966 green cartouche mark. The shape of this tea cup and saucer is the Footed Dainty shape. Dimensions: diameter of cup base 40mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 92mm (3.6 inches) / height of cup 63mm (2.5 inches) / diameter of saucer 140mm (5.5 inches). Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean pristine condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching, rubbing or any signs of wear. All gilding is in perfect order. Both pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
