Description: The A8PicoCart is an exciting device for Atari XL/XE/XEGS users. It allows you to load multiple cartridge images (CAR), rom files (bin/rom), executable images (XEX) and some disk images (ATR). See the link below to the GitHub page with detailed information, manual, ATR support, and more on the project. To place your files on the device you simply connect it to your PC with a USB-C cable. The device will show up as a storage device and you simply copy your files to the cartridge. You have 16MB of space which will hold a ton of cart and executables. After loading your files on it, you simply eject it from your PC and then plug it into your Atari computer. The system brings up a menu to let you select which cart, rom, executable you wish to load. You can create sub-directories when putting files on the device with your PC to organize things how you like. We put a few non commercial items on it, but leave putting your favorite games and software on it to you. We have designed our own custom case with a very cool fuji logo, the A8PicoCart logo, access to the cartridge reset button on the front, and a cool little red button on the back to allow you to do firmware updates as they become available without taking the cartridge apart. Our design removes the unsightly screws also for a sleek beautiful look you will be proud to put next to your other cartridges. We think our cartridge design looks and works very well and we are quite proud of it! We pride ourselves on the highest of quality 3D prints! We make a donation with every batch of these boards we make to "Robin Edwards" the author of the Open Source project. If you wish more info on the project, the people behind it, or wish to make your own boards, go to following URL. A8PicoCart GitHub !!NOTE!! Support for the original Atari 400 and Atari 800 models is currently buggy. You have to hold start on bootup of the Atari 400 or 800 to give time for the A8PicoCart to boot (like when using a FujiNet on these systems) and then hit the reset button on the 400/800 computer. The A8PicoCart menu will then boot, but it can be buggy and freeze the computer when selecting in the menu system. The device works flawlessly with the XL/XE/XEGS line of Atari 8-bit machines. It is possible future firmware updates fix these issues with the original 400/800 systems, but we wanted to make you aware of this.
