Pressed / Pattern Glass EAPGCrafted in the USA - Pittsburgh, PA Adams & Company (1961-1891): In 1874, Adams & Company introduced a new pattern of pressed glass called “Palace”. Interestingly, this glassware eventually earned the nickname “Moon and Star” due to its star-like design and the round depression that resembled a moon shape. The pattern was characterized by its intricate details, including stars, rosettes, and circles. Early pieces from the 1880s were primarily clear glass and came in various shapes, such as goblets, sugar bowls, creamers, butter dishes, relish trays, shakers, spoon rests, and candy compotes. Some pieces featured twisted handles, which were made separately and added to select items.
