There is a protective film on the armrests in the example photo. I just purchased one of these cool little guitars and wanted to protect the top finish were my arm rested. Being I'm in the pickguard business, I designed a custom armrest that is a thin .028" thick and attached it with adhesive tape which is included. I hand finish and buff the edges on all of my pickguards and armrests. They are not CNC cut, made in China with sharp edges. They are made in my USA shop one at a time with attention to detail. Be sure and check my 100% positive feedback on the 1000's of pickguards and armrests I've sold over the years.
