There are two main models, the original F-5A and F-5B Freedom Fighter variants and the extensively updated F-5E and F-5F Tiger II variants. It is a highly aerodynamic fighter around two compact and high-thrust General Electric J85 engines, focusing on performance and a low cost of maintenance at the meantime, cost less to produce. The Jet is also multi-role and is very successful with her reconnaissance and ground attack variants. AFV Club manages to capture all the characteristics of the F-5 with very fine detail that AFV Club is known for. VFC-111, the adversary unit in the U.S. Navy “Strike Fighter Air Readiness Program”.
