It is the very first Duplex speaker ever made. Original Hollywood Altec Lansing 604 Duplex speaker in VERY rare Altec factory home HiFi cabinet. This cabinet amazingly was not opened for seventy years! I know because I put the first screwdriver marks on the screws holding the back on... the interior is exquisite and original. I have not taken the driver off. The screws are perfect and original as shown. The patina on the screws tells the entire tale. The cabinet is an very good condition for its age. There are some marks from items being on top and the one veneer flake from when it was unloaded from my car (sorry! helping hand did not understand how veneer works)... the grill cloth is a bit tattered at the bottom, but that can either be replaced, or just do as my antique teacher taught me and leave everything as is: unrestored tells the true story. The speaker works perfectly and is VERY efficient. We would play this speaker directly from the headphone output of my iPhone! Original cone as evidenced by the original part number and all paper surround. Later models have the cloth surround.
