Various defects apparent including tears, nicks, loose staples or creases. Please note:- The attached scan is of the actual item you will receive! Please review it in detail to ensure it is in the condition you require. This item is a UK Price Variant. From the early 1960's until the mid-1980's, many original American comic books were distributed in the UK through sweet shops and newsagents. In order that the UK retailers would know what to charge for them, the publishers produced copies with prices in UK pence. These variant copies were printed at the same time, on the same presses, with the same paper and the same ink as all the cents-priced copies. The only difference was that at some point in the print run, the US cents cover price was changed to UK pence for those copies intended to be shipped to the UK. In addition, the cover month is often removed as well. This seems to be to avoid the comics appearing out of date when they arrived in the UK around a month or so after they hit the stands in the US. The exact quantity produced of these variants isn't known: however, considering the relative sizes of the US and UK comic book markets it's unlikely that UK Price variants would make up more than 10% of the entire print run. All our comics are sent bagged as standard. In addition the older items are usually boarded as well, the newer items are bagged only. (If placing multiple orders please request an invoice for the correct amount BEFORE paying.) This item is an original American comic and is in English! Multi-Buy Discounts. Most of our listings offer Multi-Buy discounts. Usually starting at 3 or more items to gain the discount. The items can be ANY combination of ANY ITEMS included in the Muli-Buy. They DO NOT have to be multiple copies of the same item. Just pick the required total quantity and youll automatically be given the discount on all of them! Best Offers......Some of our items include the option to place a best offer. If there is a Best Offer option we'll consider any reasonable offer. Mint Comics? We do not list ANY comics as Mint condition. In our view this grade does not exist. Comic books are mass produced paper items, handled many times often with little care before even reaching the shop or newsstand to be offered for sale. EVERY COMIC even a brand new one will have some form of minor defect if you get out a magnifying glass and look closely enough. If you are intent on finding comic book perfection, or CGC guaranteed results, it would probably be best to view the comics in person at our store before bidding! Grading InformationIt is an unfortunate truth that the established back issue grading system is misleading to new comers. Both Good & Fair are low grades. For this reason we have provided the chart below. If you are unsure what to expect from grades like VFN+ and G-, just refer to the chart. All you need to remember is that 100% is brand new while 5% has been through the washing machine. Everything else comes in steps between. The best way to use this chart is to think of it as top middle and bottom. This enables even a layman to visualise the condition of the comic.Top High grade collectable itemsNear Mint (NM) = 100% As new. High grade comic.Near Mint Minus (NM-) 90% Almost perfect.
