Description: Gorgeous 19th Century Amberina 5” pitcher in the "Inverted Thumbprint" pattern, c. 1880-1890. Pitcher has rich mahogany-red at top shading to amber about mid-way down the body with tri-fold top opening and applied threaded amber glass handle. Both Mt. Washington and the New England Glass Company made high quality Amberina glass in this style with rich coloring and it's very difficult to tell the difference as neither company were known to sign their pieces. Condition: free of chips and cloudiness. It has a very fine small hairline crack on the mouth. I cent feel it in the rim but can be seen up close upon inspection. please see photos. This has the rose amber amberina color with an inverted thumbprint. There is a reeded amber colored attached handle with a smooth finished bottom. This measures 5” High .
