Description: This is an original page extracted from a book published in 1734 entitled, "A Collection of English Precedents Relating to the Office of a Justice of Peace..." by James Harvey and published by E.& R.Nutt and R. Gosling for F. Schuckburgh at the "Sun". This is page 93 and 94 (verso). Page 93 has a summons for George Hill of Biggleswade in the county of Bedford, Weaver to appear to appear as a witness in a case that charged Christopher Dodd, a distiller, also of Biggleswade, of trafficking liquors without paying the required custom duties. Abraham Bell, customs officer had brought the claim. The above case is covered on both pages 93 and 94. Page 94 also has a notice of a warrant to apprehend Charles Driver of Stepney, county of Middlesex for assisting Edward Fuller in "carrying away" several foreign goods, presumably without paying the proper customs charge.
