Description: This neat, uncommon cover was sent on August 14, 1912, from Annapolis, Maryland, to a Commander George R. Marvell U.S. Navy, Asiatic Station! He had graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1889, and was in Cavite, The Philippines, at the time. To continue, as for the red, 2-Cent, "Washington," The black machine cancel from the Annapolis P.O. is superb!! The receiving cancel(9/13/12) from the Cavite P.O. is pretty good, but light/faded in places. Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in very good condition! It does have a few stains on either side. There are some minor creases here and there, too. The back flap is 90-95% intact! Noted imperfections aside, this remains an attractive piece of U.S. Naval postal history connected to U.S. Naval Commander, George R. Marvell!
