ANSEL ADAMS Yosemite Falls 1983 CHRIS RAINIER Auth. Print from Original Negative

Description: This is an excellent print of Ansel Adams' Yosemite Falls, Spring in Yosemite National Park, California. This is a Special Edition from the Friends of Photography in Carmel, California. Printed by Ansel's assistant Chris Rainier from the original negative, and under the supervision of the Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trust. Rainier was Adam's last photographic assistant! CR initialed next to the Special Edition stamp on the rear of the matte. Marked 1983, this has been in the family since about then so I believe my father purchased it when it was originally produced via the Friends of Photography, and it has been in this frame since! Excellent condition of the photo print and matte, the frame is a basic metal Nielsen model, the silver has some marks and scratches. The title of the photo has been very lightly written on the matte in pencil, that looks like my father's handwriting so I presume he added it, I am not sure if he matted it also (he was a freelance photographer himself so that was in his wheelhouse).
