Description: Antique official 1879 Presidential Kansas Land Grant with hand-signed signatures; President Rutherford B. Hayes with a beautiful intact official government red seal as per pictures. Beautiful antique document has (2) hand-signed signatures (I know that most of these were signed by his secretary , but both signatures do not match and look like by different people?) and details are hand-written also as per pictures. A piece of history. Some slight yellowing and a few stains from being very old but overall very good in comparison of other land grant documents I see in other listings. And the red official government seal is in very good condition (not like the others I see). I do not know how authentic the signature is as this is not my area of expertise. I do know that this Presidential election was one of the most controversial elections of that era. But all the land grant documents I am listing came from the same family and were kept in a box (that is why they survived in such good condition) and that is all I know about them. It is made of heavy paper or parchment and displays well. Condition; antique used showing some light age and wear from being very old.
