Description: Here is a nice 75/80 Meter reduced size Sloper antenna that won't take much real estate to install. Ruggedly built for years of service this antenna mounts on your tower/pole/tree (about 25 feet or so is ok) with the radiator sloping toward the ground at about a 45 degree angle. (not critical) Features a mostly omni-directional pattern but does have a bump in the pattern toward the slope. Easily installed and tuned. The radiator is about 40 feet in length as shipped and will be pruned to bring the resonant point to where you need it in the band. It requires the use of some type of "choke" in the feedline just under the antenna. This can be a commercially built "line-isolator" if you like but honestly a few turns of coax formed into a coil a few inches in diameter and held with ty-wraps works just as well. Even an "Ugly-BALUN is fine. This is the little brother to our world famous sloper for 160M now in use in 58 countries.
