Description: This is a unique item. It starts from a 3” base and tapers to a 1 ¾” spout standing 4 ½” to the lip of the spout. It has the handle intact, and a small piece of the zinc lid still remains. These are rare to find whole when digging. The base has an interesting swirl in the center and what makes it more interesting is that it looks like they had to chip out the hole in the top for the contents to come out. I think it was completely sealed when it came out of the mold. I would date it in the mid-1890s. It is in dug condition and there is a stain on the inside. The outside looks like it may have been used for some time before being discarded and has some light scratching. It has turned a delightful sun-colored amethyst. There are no chips or cracks. I have not seen another like it.
