Antique Armand Marseille A5M 23" Doll Bisque Head Leather Body Sleepy READ DESCR

Description: For sale is an antique Armand Marseille doll. Bisque head and lower arms/hands. Body and upper legs are leather, lower legs and feet are cloth. The doll measures about 23" tall and is marked A5M on the back of the head. She has sleepy eyes and an open mouth with front teeth showing. Has a brown wig which is no longer attached, I'm unsure if the wig is original but it may be. Comes with a low waist dress, sleeveless underdress, bloomer pants, socks, slipper shoes, and white bead necklace. The socks/shoes and necklace definitely are not original; these 3 pieces are all too big. I'm unsure about the other clothing pieces. They all have a vintage look and go well with her though. Doll stand not included. This doll is old and does show age. Face has a hairline crack running from mid-forehead down to about low-mid nose; it's very thin and there is no movement, the head still feels solid. This is only really noticeable under bright lighting conditions. Leather body has wear and various staining/discoloration. The cloth lower legs also have staining/discoloration, a few areas that appear patched, and a couple very small holes. Sleepy eyes still work though they are a bit slow to close. (Inside of head will be stuffed with packing for shipment to reduce eye movement during transit.) Paint on the eyelids is a bit sloppy. Underdress is held closed by a safety pin.
