Description: Antique Art Nouveau Lady Portrait Cabinet Plate Austria Signed Constance. A beautiful Vienna style portrait plate, circa 1900, from Austria. The portrait, entitled "Constance" is that of a beautiful young woman with long flowing brunette hair, gorgeous rosy completion, dark eyes and ruby-red lips, attired in a low-cut, white gown with red highlights. The decorating technique used was transfer with hand-painted highlights. The wide border is richly decorated in gold gilt. The plate measures 8 1/2" across; there are no cracks or repairs; a small loss of some gold paint, see photos. Priced accordingly.
