Description: Antique Belle of Memphis for Memphis Queensware Stone Water Filter Spongeware Stoneware Crock Ohio No 2. It would have been the top piece of a two or three piece set. Underneath would have been a water dispenser. You would pour water into this one. The bottom is a porous stone which acted as a filter for the water. This is an EXTREMELY rare piece of stoneware with Southern significance. However, with it being marked “Ohio No. 2” I’m inclined to believe it was made by an Ohio stoneware company. No cracks. It does have a minor chip or two as shown in the photos. Please see all photos as they are part of the description. Sold “as is”. All sales final. No returns. US SHIPPING IS A FLAT RATE OF $19.95.
