Description: Big old brass and cast iron steam pressure gauge made by Ashcroft Mfg. Co. for The Babcock & Wilcox Co. builders. Pretty scarce large gauge with range from zero to 400 psi. Measures just over 14 1/2 inches in total width. Very heavy. Untested, selling as found for parts, restoration or decorative purposes. We assume that anyone buying this for use, will know how to test and/or refurb anything that might be needed to make it functional and safe. It appears to be in nice cosmetic condition with no case damage, the case has a nice old patina to the brass as pictured. The glass has a crack near the bottom edge as pictured and is a bit loose in the gauge, may have been replaced at some point. Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, you will receive the exact gauge that is pictured. Great decorative piece or would be an awesome addition to your large steampunk project.
