Description: this is a very old Bronze Eagle. . 6" tall. 5.5" wide. Weighs about 1.5 pounds. Got at upstate NY barn sale about 20 years ago. no markings as to maker. Looks like some black paint residue on wings. guessing 1850-1880. Not sure. Not a pro . great piece. Have no idea what original purpose was. Ask questions. Definitely not a repro.
