Description: Russian sterling silver cigar box, rectangular with rounded corners, the cover repoussé with a circular reserve centered the two-headed imperial eagle, above the Russian inscription “War 1914 * 1915 * 1916”, gilded interior, with cabochon stone pusher in a gold frame. In the interior, is engraved a date (1915) and something in cyrilic that seems to be a name. Please check the pictures. These rare cigarette cases were made by Karl Faberge. Those with the K.F. marks and others just the silversmith mark. They are sold at major auction houses such as Christie's, Sotheby's among others. Inside the case has also the silversmiths mark BK in addition to the 84 Zolotnik. 3 7/8 in. (9.9 cm.) width. 146.7 gr. Very good+ used antique original condition as can be seen in the photos.
