Description: This mid-19th century Flemish tapestry measures 4’2” X 5’8”. The design consists of a verdant tree filled glen with two lovers in the lower left corner and a couple of men chatting in the center of the tapestry. There is a building that looks like a church in the background. A man waves from the lower right corner. There is a bird sitting on a tree trunk in the bottom center of the field. The scene is interesting and well drawn. The border contains various flowers in different colors in a twining motif. The piece is clean and ready to go. It is in excellent condition.
