Description: This auction is for a gorgeous antique tea pot with a floral pattern in a transferware. Marked on base with ‘Foliage’ inside decorative banner. Not exactly certain who manufacturer is but this dates to early to mid 1800s. The blue has the beautiful ‘age fade’ that only time can provide….fantastic transferware pattern. Original lid with steam hole and no damage to handle. Measures approximately 6.25” tall x 10” long from spout to handle by 7” diameter round at body. In good antique condition. Please keep in mind that this lovely teapot is over 100 years old so it does have age wear…..old chipping to top of spout as seen in many photos, tight hairline cracks INSIDE of fluid well that do show to outside design….please supersize and view the many photos so that you can see the actual condition.
