Description: A beautiful length of antique French lisere brocade jacquard, circa 1900 time frame. A most lovely find from the Albi area of France.Gorgeous hues of earthier tones~ green and coppery brown, tawny red and ochre. The green wants to look somewhat minty or blue in some of the photos but is a nice soft herbal type green, best in photo 2 on my monitor. A silk, cotton with a hint of linen. Denser but with a somewhat fluid body.Used in the past but in overall good condition. & strong. Not yet steamed in my photos as it has just been unpacked but will be steaming this.I will be listing a few size variations of this one in separate listings. A marvelous textile for an abundance of interior period pieces; pillows etc.. and small upholstery as well. Could also be used in bag making, clothing elements and a variety of unique artisan projects. Gorgeous displayed. ****Measures 31" wide by 29" long ~ I have 1 length left in this size. Many thanks!
