Description: Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! What a wonderful find! I was very fortunate to find a collection of Vintage dead stock (from circa 1910-1930), crocheted, work or gardening gloves. An exciting find. The wonderful label (in the photos above) was found with the gloves, it gives us an idea of where these came from! The factory where these were made was built in the 1830's. The man Joseph Anseaume joined the company around 1906, helping to date these gloves. The factory specialized in dyeing and twisted thread. These gloves are GORGEOUS. It would make sense to me that rather than being fashion gloves, they were more like a work or gardening glove. These gloves are made using what feels like to me to be a wool and cotton blend?? . The tone is a warm creamy tone!~ GORGEOUS. They would look charming as part of a display also! Ideal for a retail resale opportunity! ( gloves B401) Size: These gloves fit a woman's size small to medium ( the measurements vary ever so slightly, so please email and let us know if you are on the smaller or slightly larger size of small :)) , they are approximately 8.25 inches long ( size 7 ?) from tip of glove to sleeve, in as found, unworn and un-stretched condition. They expand when worn! ~ I am selling these individually, so if you would like to purchase more than one, you can simply change the quantity button to the number you require. Condition : These gloves are in as found, unwashed condition and have been stored for nearly 100 years! They are musty so will need to be cleaned before using ( soaked and hung to dry). Otherwise, lovely and unused! ~
