Description: Disston Backsaw. 12” blade. I count 13 teeth per inch, or 14 ppi. Medallion indicates 1896 to 1917 manufacture date. Saw plate was cleaned with steel wool and 600?grit paper. The apple handle lightly refinished. The handle is in great condition and the horns are undamaged. The only flaw I see is the letter Z (or N) etched into the top of the spline near the handle. I didn’t notice it until I was taking photos. The saw was pretty sharp. Maybe never sharpened. I gave it a quick sharpening and it cuts very well. Shipped same or next day and packed carefully.
