Description: This comes from a wonderful estate collection of carved bears. It appears to be similar to Japanese Ainu art and is similar to the style of Hokkaido. I can't verify anything however, so buyer beware please. I don't see any markings on this and don't know the age of this. The collection this came from included items from the 1880s and other more contemporary pieces. The bear is 2.5 inches high and about 4.5 inches wide. It looks like he has glass bead eyes.
