Description: Antique Meriden Britannia Company Silverplate 3 Piece Tea Set Etched Design. This piece is no doubt one of the earlier examples of Meriden B and I would date it at late 1800s to early 1900s. The piece is in worn antique shape, with the silver plating flaking off on approx. 10% of the total surface area, and will continue to do so when handled, including the base of the sugar bowl, front spout and handle area of both the creamer and tea pot, and the pot finial. There are noticeable dents on the tea pot, and it rocks back and forth while standing upright. Still, this tea pot is beautiful and may be worth replating and/ or repairing to pristine condition, or left as is as, as the item condition is commensurate with such an old antique. I have included as many pictures of the pieces as Ebay will allow. The tea pot is 11" tall. Check the photos for detailed information regarding item condition. I don't hide anything!
