Description: This 6 inch transferware bowl in mulberry was made by John Meir & Son. The pattern is Roselle. On the back is the pattern name and J.M. & Son, which stands for John Meir & Son. There is a lovely central scene with a major building in the foreground right and another building in the background left on the opposite side of a stream. There are no chips, hairlines, or repairs, not even any crazing. The pattern is discussed on page 393 of the book Staffordshire by Petra Williams.
