Description: This lovely Northwood Glass Co. sugar shaker/muffineer was made at their Ellwood City, PA. and/or their Indiana, PA. factory ca. late 1890s to early 1900s. It was made in a 4 part mould blown pattern called Quilted Phlox. The shaker is Opal glass which is translucent when held to window light without the lid. It measures about 4 1/4" tall and is about 12" in circumference. It is in excellent condition with no damage. The glass top of the sugar under the metal lid is unfinished and I believe this is how it was sold from the factor. The metal lid is old and may be the original.
