Description: Antique c. 192011" Clear Aqua Glass 24 oz.Pluto Water Bottle c.1920, large size, clear aqua, crown top, embossed, seamed, medicinal beverage bottle. Actual item pictured.In the early 1900s the water was bottled in French Lick, Indiana where mineral salts (sodium and magnesium sulfate, among others) in the spring water provided an effective laxative property. One of their mottos was "When nature won't Pluto will." Bottling ceased in 1971 when lithium salts (also found in the water) became a controlled substance.Embossed rings around the body and PLUTO WATER / AMERICA'S PHYSIC on the front. LHC is embossed on the lip. Also embossed with an image of the Greek God of the underworld, Pluto (since the water arose from underground) with an 8 to his left and PLUTO on the base. 11"H x 3 1/16"WBottle is clean. Condition is good with the following exceptions, shown in pictures: <1/8" ding on the heel, one on the body and one on the lip.
