Description: Condition: Slight gold loss to well of saucer. This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by an unknown manufacturer around 1815. The saucer has a diameter of 6 1/4” and the cup is 3 3/4” tall (without the handle) with a diameter of 3 1/2”. The cup features three paw feet and a serpent handle. The front of the cup has a hand painted of a young boy with his spaniel dog in a meadow. The painting is of high, artistic quality and done in beautiful colors. The sides of the cup and border of the saucer have intricate hand gilding. There are beaded borders accenting both pieces. There is rich gilding on the rims, handle and feet. This work is reminiscent of pieces created by KPM and Meissen around the same period. It is a wonderful work of art. #C336a IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on.
