Description: Beautiful antique oil portrait painting on stretched canvas circa early 1800’s. This stunning piece definitely has a story to tell, some history and mystery. She has definitely been repaired a few times (please see photos) and her canvas is PAPER thin. It appears she has been touched up at some point however I have not put her up to a black light. She has some written descriptions on the wood of her canvas but I can’t make it out unfortunately. She has a large crease along the top portion of the painting (again please see pictures) to which the causes are unknown. Frame is in good solid condition with a few missing paint chips on top. I have obviously not examined her out of the frame but from what I can see she appears to be unsigned. I am HAPPY to provide more pictures upon request.
