Description: The item for sale is an original antique primitive redware plate or bowl. The piece and decoration are attributed to Willoughby Smith. It is not signed. That is his style and decoration. It has a manganese spot design with slip in the middle. As shown there are several chips to the pieces rim. There are some scratches from use. There are no hairlines on it. It does have some crazing to the glaze. It has a wonderful patina. It is 7 7/8" in diameter and 1 5/8" tall when sitting flat on a table. Check the pictures they are the best description.
