Description: Please view all photos as they are part of the description. This listing is for antique wood-burned/pyrography ladies' glove box. On the back it was woodburned with the date Sept 1910. As a wood-burning artist myself, I can appreciate the work that went into this, especially since tools were not electric back then. Whoever decorated this box had a good technique and sense of control, because it's easy to make mistakes (and not a lot of options to fix them!) To me the finish almost looks like tooled leather. On the bottom of the box, you will see that there is a small hole and crack, and old evidence of a price tag. On the back there is a little white "stuff" -not sure if it can come off, but I did not try. All of that was there before I came to possess it. I got this box at an estate auction in Northeast Wisconsin years ago. The people were downsizing to move to a warmer climate. They had an amazing collection of lots of different things in very nice shape. Please see my other auctions as I have many antique/vintage items and will be listing more. Moving stuff along! Thank you for viewing my listing.
